Wide Format Wall Graphics Installation For Philadelphia Community Art Project
We’re excited to share a vibrant large-format printing community art project that celebrates the heart of Philadelphia’s Chinatown.
“Our Chinatown” sheds light on the hidden stories of the people who call Chinatown home. The project features impactful large-format wall portraits and stories of everyday people who live, work, and grew up in the area. The interviews were done by local high schoolers from the non-profit Asian Americans United (AAU). The posters feature QR codes that bring the viewer to the full interviews.
Color Reflections was proud to work with AAU to help bring “Our Chinatown” to life. We printed the project using a new innovative material, Smooth-N-Groove, from our print partner Jessup Manufacturing. It has an exclusive multilayer construction that includes a printable layer, a conformable layer, and a super aggressive PSA (pressure sensitive adhesion) with permanent adhesive (9 mil thick).
This printing material is also specifically designed for exterior wall graphics on irregular and rough surfaces such as:
- Brick
- Concrete
- Corrugated Metal
- Stone
